Packing Your Gym Bag

Occasionally packing for a workout class feels like you are prepping for a weekend getaway. Between the clothing, toiletries and snacks, you might as well grab your suitcase and call it a day. But truth be told, it doesn't need to be complicated or cumbersome as we make it out to be.

1. Dry Shampoo

Irrespective of the time you workout, it is likely that you're heading to work or catching dinner with a friend after you receive your sweat on. Eliminate an oily scalp and refresh your appearance -- with the support of a sweet-smelling dry shampoo. It also doubles as a deodorizer and perfume.

2. Flip Flops

This is a public service announcement to all gym-goer's out there: don't use public showers without any flip flops. Showers are a breeding pool for both germs and fungus thus a trusty pair of flip flops will be your best buddy.

3. Microfiber Towel

Let's get filthy for a sec: most people sweat...a lot. When some studios supply towels free of charge, many don't. Always be prepared and keep a towel into your bag to get sweaty courses, water bottle leaks or possibly a makeshift hair towel in your gym bag.

4. Hand Sanitizer

No excuse necessary. Exercise gear could be completely disgusting and full of germs. Stay.

5. Rollerball

Do not allow your post-workout stench follow you home. Mask the odor (for one hour or two) or just give yourself a spritz so you feel more put together as you step back out into the real world.

6. Hair Elastics (or Rings) 

Increase your hand if you've ever shown up for class with no hair elastic. They just disappear, don't they Keep spare elastics on your bag so you're never in a pinch.
